Phobias, Panic and Anxiety
Panic attacks and phobias are very debilitating and are quite often context related. In other words, someone will experience panic attacks when in a shopping centre, on a train, in crowds, alone, the list is endless. The thought patterns are often similar to the fears you have when faced with a phobic reaction to an environmental stimulus.
Many people experience panic attacks infrequently but still find themselves in a constant state of dread, both remembering that situation, and imagining that it will happen again. The state of excessively worrying that the situation is going to repeat itself is sometimes referred to as anticipatory anxiety.
In a similar way having a phobia can raise similar states in that you can become constantly fearful that the object of your phobia will become aparant at any time resulting in anticipatory phobia.
The good news is that anxiety and phobias are all treatable with Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP. I have treated many clients with many states of anxiety and many types of phobias.
