Discover your Perception

In the previous test you learned which one of your senses is the most dominant filter for the 2,000,000 bits of information that are bombarding your senses every second. The following test gives an indication as to how you take that information and act upon it (metaprograms).

When I do relationship therapy this is one of many test that is a good indicator of whether the problem is one of communication based on their partners different metaprograms.


Sensor - Intuitor

Answer the following questions counting the total number of questions you instinctively answered "A" and "B"

1. Is it worse to:

A. Have your head in the clouds

B. Be "in a rut"

2. Are more attracted to:

A. Sensible people

B. Imaginative People

3. Are you more interested in:

A. What is actual

B. What is possible

4. In doing ordinary things are you more likely to:

A. Do it the usual way

B. Do it your own way

5. Children often do not:

A. Make themselves useful enough

B. Exercise their fantasy enough

6. Do you think of yourself as:

A. A practical sort of person

B. An imaginative person

7. Do you go more by:

A. Facts

B. Principles

8. Are you more likely to trust your:

A. Experience

B. Intuition

9. Do you feel:

A. More practical than ingenious

B. More ingenious than practical

10. Is it important to:

A. Follow rules that are given

B. Use them as a useful guideline


Mostly As

If you answered mostly As then you are classed as a sensor. This means you like detail and are attracted to facts. You like order and probably have rules about how things are to be done. A typical sensory argument would be:-

"I have told him a thousand time to squeeze the toothpaste from the end and to put the lid back on and yet he still forgets! He knows it drives me mad, yet he cant be bothered. I am sure he does it just to annoy me!"

Mostly Bs

If you answered mostly Bs then you are classed as an intuitor. You tend to love ideas more than hard facts and may well be more imaginative than practical. You will tend not to have hard and fast rules about things and will start with the big picture and then build the detail if you have to. A typical intuitor argument would be:-

"Its not that I cant be bothered about the toothpaste, my mind goes elsewhere when I am brushing my teeth. I just dont think its that important, whats the big deal anyway its only toothpaste!"
